It started in a small, unexpected shift. After April recovered from COVID, everything went back to normal except her taste buds. Overnight, the sweets she’d loved forever didn’t land the same, and all she wanted was heat. Not just hotter… better. Flavor with fire. Fire with flavor.

She tried every hot sauce she could find, but nothing struck the balance she was craving. So she started making her own. Two or three bottles at a time, tweaking recipes, chasing flavor, learning what each pepper wanted to do. And wherever she went, a bottle came with her. Restaurants, friends’ kitchens, even wine tasting. If there was food, her sauce was on the table.

People noticed. First they asked for a taste. Then a bottle. Then another. Soon friends were asking to buy it, and eventually they started asking the question that changed everything: “So… when are you starting a company?”

That’s how Pepper Song began, April in the kitchen, building sauces from real ingredients and instinct, and her husband handling the business side so she could stay focused on the craft.
